Apples + Pancakes = Apple Tart or Upside Down Cake?

I made this galette in 10 minutes!
Too easy!
First, I lined some apples in a pretty ring in a lightly oiled pan, sprinkled brown sugar and cinnamon over them, then mixed up a double batch of pancake batter and poured it over the preheated skillet and apples. I covered the pan for about 10 minutes on medium heat, then flipped the fully cooked cake right-side up onto a plate!
Parfait!

Very nice, I think I will try this recipe later this week. I'm just thinking of a way to make the crust crustier so that the galette is more like a pie than a cake.

Hey I absolutely love this recipe. I was hoping to use this or some similar version on my website (www.akitchenaffair.com). If so I would include a link to bring people back to your page. Thanks!

Love this recipe (and your blog)! I haven't made one of these since my Classical Cuisine class in school. I'll definitely be making it in the near future- thanks for the inspiration. :-)

P.S.: Thanks for the feedback on my blog!

Hahaha, I just tried to make this! I didn't realize we didn't have eggs so I had to substitute mayo (sounds weird I know, but I read online you could do it if necessary...), and then when I moved it from the pan to the plate it collapsed into a steaming heap of cinnamony, appley nonsense. Tasty, but no where near as pretty as yours. :) I shall try again when we have the proper ingredients.
